Charlottesville Parks & Rec

Charlottesville operates over two dozen wonderfully fun parks and playgrounds for children that are always being added to and improved. From Memorial Day to Labor Day you can enjoy our cool swimming pools, too! The Charlottesville Recreation and Leisure Department provides many programs and events throughout the year. Foxfield Races

Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Family Day at the Races on September 26th. Foxfield hosts six steeplechase races and an array of activities including pony rides, Jack Russell Terrier Races, a racecourse walk, bagpipers, fly fishing lessons, The FoxDen Children's Activities Tent and the Antiques Fair. All activities are included in price of admission; children 8 and under are free. SARA (sexual assault resource agency) is the beneficiary of the Fall Race Meet, and is hosting SARA at Siips - a wine tasting and silent auction to benefit SARA's Campaign for Prevention Saturday, Sept. 25th, 5-7pm at Siips Wine Bar.

Meadowcreek Golf

Meadowcreek Golf Course is a cut above most other municipal golf courses, playing to par 70 over 6,050 yards.
